Surf Hunter Combo - Daiwa 26 Sensor Wave 1062L / Daiwa BG 5000

It may be called the “light” surf combo but this premium set up is one of the best surf-specific rod and reel combos on the market designed by the team to tackle a range of fish from the surf. 

Starting at the rod - the new Daiwa Sensor 26 is rated to 6kg however, has a cast weight of 55gm which is ideal for a surf rod. Even if you’re fishing for tasty whiting the swell and wind can be an issue but the heavier weight rating allows you to beef up the sinker size without damaging the rod. Alternatively, if the larger fish are on the chew this rod will be able to handle larger baits being thrown like whole pilchards and fish strips.
