The latest evolution introduces a Powerdrive Zaion Rotor, designed to increase structural strength while maintaining lightweight balance. This advanced rotor reduces flex under heavy load, improving cranking efficiency and control when fighting powerful saltwater species. Paired with Daiwa’s rigid Monocoque Body, the Certate SW maximises gear size and power transmission within a compact, highly durable frame.

For long-term performance in harsh saltwater conditions, Magsealed technology protects internal components from water and debris intrusion, while Daiwa’s ATD drag system delivers smooth, consistent drag pressure to better control strong, hard-fighting fish.

OVERSIZED POWER DIGIGEAR
Built with G1 duralumin for exceptional durability, the Oversized Power Digigear is larger in diameter and thicker than the previous model. Precisely engineered gear teeth enhance drive efficiency, while minimal deflection ensures stable, consistent meshing. This reduces power loss, providing smooth and effortless winding performance.

POWERDRIVE DESIGN
The next generation of large spinning reels have been designed in pursuit of powerful reliability, enabling anglers to target the largest fish around the world. POWERDRIVE DESIGN consists of two technology units: the body unit "POWERDRIVE ENGINE" and the rotor unit "POWERDRIVE ROTOR", a spherical rotor shape that achieves both high rigidity and low inertia.

ZAION ROTOR
Daiwa's 'Air Rotor' technology combines with the famous Zaion material to create a strong yet lightweight rotor with flawless shape to increase reel sensitivity and rotational balance. 

MAGSEALED BODY
Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reel's rotor shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders. Dust, water, and salt intrusion into the inner workings of a reel are a thing of the past with MagSeal.

AUTOMATIC TOURNAMENT DRAG
Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.

MONOCOQUE BODY
MQ Body takes reel design to the next level. The MQ system does not require conventional side plate, instead using an engine plate to screw directly into the body. Eliminating the need for screws to hold a body cover in place. MQ body improves the strength of the reel, it also improves the water-resistance of the body and allows a larger diameter drive gear to be installed.
